We first encountered fisherman Al Miller at his seaside office — a prosperous conch stand set against the backdrop of the ocean at Montague beach. He has been in business there since 1982, he said, and proudly boasts that his conch stand was the first of its kind at Montague Beach. Assistant Director of Culture Eddie Dames arrived at our studio clothed fully in black. He cuts a striking figure… tall and lean with a well-coiffed grizzled beard that hangs halfway down his chest in true “Gandalfian” style (for those who are familiar with “Lord of The Rings”).
